Specialized Extraction and Rescue Tactics (SERT) includes blocks of instruction-based scenario training to focus on a variety of techniques to remove victims out of harm’s way during tactical operations. Topics include breaching, patient access and extraction, rescue techniques utilizing ropes to remove patients, teammates, and operators from harms way.
Tactical K-9 Care blocks of instruction focusing on key interventions to provide emergency care for law enforcement working dogs.
Sick Call Care is a block of instruction focusing on assessment and treatment of common illness encountered during routine care of team members and during extended operations. This class is designed to provide the advanced tactical medic with the knowledge and skills to keep tactical operators engaged in operations.
Human Performance Concepts is a block of instruction focusing on optimizing training and preventative strategies for the tactical athlete.

Prospective attendees in poor physical condition, those having a fear of heights or confined space, and those in fear of loud noise or bright light would be strongly advised to consider NOT attending this course of instruction. Safety is our paramount consideration and as a result, the faculty wishes to ensure a learning environment free of distractions for all those attending.
Student Selection:
Due to the competitive nature of admission to this school, submission of all application materials does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Students who meet submission criteria and who are selected for seating in the school will be notified of acceptance directly by email.
The applicant’s credit card will not be charged unless the applicant is accepted for training in the course.

Refund Policy: Admission to this school is competitive. Cancellations and refund requests must be received within seven (7) days of notification of acceptance. Cancellations received after this deadline will not qualify for a refund.

Continuing Education Credit: This continuing education activity is approved by UMBC, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). EMS providers must provide both NREMT # and expiration date (if applicable) and state license and expiration date to receive CAPCE credit.
I understand that UMBC as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE-accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
