This 16-hour course focuses on the delivery of essential lifesaving skills in the dynamic threat environment faced by today’s law enforcement first responders. The course provides a high-yield, structured approach to care delivery in the critical first few minutes when law enforcement personnel may be an injured victim’s best and only chance for survival. The course content does not require or presume any prior medical training or knowledge. Covering scenarios ranging from street encounters to active shooter incidents, this course is ideal for frontline law enforcement personnel such as patrol officers, rangers, deputies and special agents. The course incorporates classroom learning, skills stations and practical exercises.

Continuing Education
EMT and Paramedics - CAPCE
CAPCE Activity 25-UMBC-F2-0026: 20 Basic Continuing Education Hours
Continuing Education Credit: This continuing education activity is approved by UMBC, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). EMS providers must provide both NREMT # and expiration date (if applicable) and state license and expiration date to receive CAPCE credit.
I understand that UMBC as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE-accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
Cost
$2,000/course for up to 20 participants
Course Scheduling
This course is provided to law enforcement agencies onsite at their department or training center on a request basis. Agencies interested in requesting a TFR Course should contact the CONTOMS Program for details.
